Many people agree that the college years are one of the best periods in their life. However, this period can be significantly tough to enjoy when you’re scrounging each dollar for food, textbooks, and the occasional night out with friends. Money can be tight when you’re a student. If you’re stressing over making ends meet, our list of best student discounts is here to help!

The Best Student Discounts and Deals

Countless companies offer products, services, and apps at a significant discount for students. Here’s our list of the greatest deals you can get as a student, covering shopping, tech, creative tools, and streaming! Don’t forget that most of these require you to confirm your student status!

Best Buy

While you won’t find a specific student discount program at Best Buy, it does offer some great student deals and discounts you can take advantage of. To be eligible, you must prove your student status and be a My Best Buy member.

Joining the program is free, and you’ll see all student deals on your account’s Member Offers page. Joining the program is undoubtedly worth it, even if you’re not a student. As a member, you’ll be able to get some items significantly cheaper, especially during site-wide sales!

Amazon Prime Student

Most students use the Prime account that belongs to a parent. However, if you’re not one of those, you can get an Amazon Prime account significantly cheaper while you’re in college. Students can enjoy all the benefits of Prime membership for the first six months at $0!

After those first six months, you’ll pay $7.49 monthly or about $90 annually. Student Prime includes everything you get in a “regular” Amazon Prime subscription – same-day delivery where available, two-day shipping, and access to the Prime Video library.

Amber

Speaking of cost-saving opportunities for students, it’s not just limited to Amazon Prime. Another area where students often feel the financial pinch is student housing. If you are searching for student accommodation, consider amber. They offer high-quality and affordable student accommodation worldwide, aiming to minimize the hassles of paperwork while ensuring 100% verified listings.

Apple and Microsoft

If you’re looking to save some money as a student while gearing up on hardware and software, these two tech giants also offer great deals for students. While Apple doesn’t offer a flat-rate discount on its products, you can save on MacBooks, iMacs, and iPads. Also, each purchase gets you a gift card up to $150!

Microsoft also offers up to 10% off on its gadgets, including Surface Go 2 and Surface Headphones 2. Microsoft’s online store also offers great student discounts on brand-name Windows PCs from HP, Lenovo, Acer, and other brands!

Adobe Creative Cloud

If you’re studying art or design, you’re probably already using some Adobe products. With Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, and more, Adobe CC is definitely the industry standard. However, it has a hefty monthly price tag of $53. Still, you can get a student discount and reduce it to just $20 per month for the first 12 months!

Once that first year is up, your subscription still only goes up to $30. Albeit it’s not ideal, you still get it at a significant discount, which can be a lifesaver for students who don’t want to use cheaper alternatives.

Microsoft 365

While many of us got used to Google Docs, LibreOffice, and other free Microsoft Office alternatives, sometimes you just need the real deal to get things done. If your educational institution doesn’t provide you with a free Microsoft 365 account, you can still get it for $0 with the “student and educator” discount.

This option gets you Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and One Note for free. Considering the fact that the annual subscription is $100, it’s a pretty sweet deal!

Spotify and YouTube

There’s no way to talk about the best student deals without mentioning this one. Spotify’s Premium Student plan definitely takes the cake here! For just $5 per month, you get access to millions of songs, Hulu’s ad-supported subscription, and ad-free Showtime. It’s one of the best offers around, and it takes care of all your entertainment needs!

Nobody likes ads, and the YouTube Premium Student plan cuts almost 50% off the regular price. In other words, you get ad-free video content, background play, downloads, and YouTube Music access for just $7 per month. It’s not as great as Spotify’s deal, but it’s worth considering if you’re spending a lot of time on YouTube.

The Best Way to Save More

Students are usually too focused on their studies and getting a degree to get a full-time job. That’s why creative side hustles passive income ideas are a great option to get some extra cash without investing too much time and effort. As we all know, to have more money, you either earn more or spend less.
By joining Pawns.app, you can share your bandwidth with our clients and get paid. The minimum payout is just $5, so you can get the Spotify Premium Student plan for free! Or something else, it’s totally up to you! Pawns.app is completely safe, and you can use it on as many devices as you want (as long as they all have different IP addresses). The best part? All it takes is a few minutes to sign up and run the app!
